My son had a 3.2 unweighted in MCPS. Couple of APs. 1300+ SAT. Got $35k merit (off of $47k tuition sticker price) at Susquehanna. He wound up at a similar LAC at a slightly higher cost to us. It's a great fit for him. 'Private schools are crazy expensive', as a blanket statement, is simply not true.
