"Do people think the quality of coaching is high at Barca Nashville?"

How the hell would we know?

There is a civil discussion here and then you.

Like it was stated by a PP all the kids at Barca were B,C, or D team level players from previous clubs. The talent level is down a notch which makes these kids appear to have gotten better. When in actuality they're just the better group of a pool of lower level teams. Im not knocking Barca its simply another travel club rather than local branding. They are a franchise from a pro club. But not a jr academy as a pipeline to the big club. People have a choice to tryout at at any club if they make it they are placed at the appropriate level based on the talent pool at that club. I would hope if there were a diamond in the rough player that turns up at Barca. They would do the right thing and guide that player to the correct setting. I mean an ECNL or DA program to help that player develop into the best player they can become. As for the other 99.9% of players help them make the most out of their travel soccer experience.

I think the coaching at Barca VA is high. I saw my DC get better and also gain confidence. He also likes going to practice. The drills are always well run, and I've noticed they tend to result in a lot of touches during practice.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. Pretty much all the parents there are aware of what talent level their kids are. Many/most were B,C, D team kids who left their crappy club coaches for a better training environment.

Other parents and kids simply prefer the playing style over what other club options offer.

I think the anti Barca people on this thread are people who can’t quit separate a pro club a 6 hour flight away and a youth club where kids are just going to play soccer. We have people here who hate Barca the way people hate the Cowboys or Yankees and sadly equating some 10 and 11 year old kids with a Pro club that they hate.

It is just a soccer club.

Yes it is just a soccer club!

But it’s a club that aggressively uses its brand as a substitute for quality coaching and training, IMO.

No, you are attacking a club, kids and parents because you don’t like the Pro club. Pretty sad

No I am saying the club doesn’t deliver it promises. I said nothing bad about the kids, parents or the professional team itself.

It would be more interesting to elucidate the critiques as opposed to merely insulting and shouting down the critics as dumb, crazy parents.

I'm sorry that's how your experience has been. Mine has been the opposite: if I say anything positive or just plain relevant about Barca, I've gotten pummeled on here several times in different threads. I don't know why this club is evoking such reactions. All I know is that my kids love it, that they are getting better, and for us. It has been good. I have never seen a club like them before. That's my personal experience with them.

show me how many players so far from the USA franchises have made to the Barca 1st team. until then they're exactly the same as any other travel club.

I guess it depends where you are coming from. I only see people calling parents that take their kids here as delusional and see adults insulting children.

The soccer community/clubs were not welcome when they arrived. They did everything in their power to block them.
