Anonymous wrote:why are people so obsessed with VDA? or at least that one person that keeps bring the topic back to life? what would you like to know? its a ok club the boys do good on DA level the girls not so much so in ECNL

They don’t play in the same league. One is recognized as an up and coming program with good younger teams and 2 solid feeder clubs. The other is great Falls-Reston with some kids that didn’t make McLean, bryc, fcv, vda, Arlington. MU lost players to all of those clubs this tryout season.

VDA has excellent feeder clubs and coaches. They will put out strong teams going forward. And that is a good thing for NoVA
The battle between ECNL does not hurt DA. Silly poster.
DA has some good and bad teams So does ECNL.
The good teams are heavily recruited in both leagues. See the common denominator?
The battle is holding many clubs back.
I dont care about the clubs. I care about my kids team. My kid plays ECNL for recruiting.Good teams attract college recruiters. My kid was seen by over 30+college coaches this weekend.
A weak DA and/or ECNL team attracts less recruiters. End of story. Stop with the league vs league crap. Yes, there is talent dilution. Find a team that hasn't been severly effected by it. Stop worrying about the age groups above and below you. They dont effect your kids team.
Team specific. Say it 10xs over.
Ok, relax. VDA is a solid program. They would be a force if there was more clarity regarding the future of ECNL/DA.
1. 30 colleges were not there to see YOUR kid there were two teams on the field. College coaches go to watch players who reach out to them directly or have had coaches do so on the players behalf.
2. College coaches do not have time to window shop.
Stop with the lecturing. I've been around long enough to know how it works. There is no uncertainty with ECNL/DA. Dont know what gave you that idea. Get on the best team in whatever league that floats your boat. That's your decesion. Competetion and exposure wise, they're the same. I assure you that.
I'm not arguing with you. VDA is a strong program. Relax.
In the local area: Stronger than BRYC (except 03) and Loudoun maybe in ECNL. Weaker than MU and don't hold a candle to FCV's quality.
Fcv and vda 05/06 haven’t played. I would be interested in seeing it. Waiting for MU to chime in about their 1-0 preseason triumph over VDA...
An 06 match up would be fun to watch.
The 05 match up would not be a close game.
I guess we will never know

LOL nice false narrative. Which club do you represent? We've seen your crap in multiple club threads.
Which part is false?
The last part. They are managed independently of GFR and are partners (needed for admin and fields). Players switch clubs all the time, they gained players from some of the same clubs you mention. It's a was, some might say better for MU as the talent level of some of the departures was not stellar, and not as you describe.
