Picking the right players and placing them with the right trainers in the right enviorment wins world cups.
That's why little countries with limited resources can compete.
Right players. Right trainers. Right enviorment. Fully funded. Year around for the select few.
Let's get a clue people.
Nail on head right here.

Promote their league as the college placement league.
Appeal to the 99 percent.
Let DA continue to market to the one percent.
Again, US Soccer saw how successful ECNL was and tried to steal it. Now they want you to believe that the ECNL was detrimental to US Soccer and had to take it over.
Now their minions are trying to make you believe the same. Again, leagues dont create NT players. It's way deeper than that. Maybe that's where US soccer needs to start focusing on vs. Youth leagues.
I personal would rather see fully funded regional boarding schools/Academies dedicated to educating and training elite HS players selected by US Soccer.
Anonymous wrote:ECNL is obsolete because US Soccer decided they wanted to run a league? In what other country does the national soccer governing body run the top youth league? I guess all of the clubs leaving the DA to go to ECNL missed your memo.
PP pointing out leagues do not produce players could not be more correct.

Anonymous wrote:LOL. Who exactly is being “slandered” here? Gosh the concern over US Soccer having NT players only play in the DA must be very hurtful.

Go read your book called " who moved the cheese". I'm not interested in your 7th grade mentality.

I say again...nearly 100 percent. Think about that. Let that sink in real deep.
So, what else ya got?
So what? Same is true for ECNL.
DA is a lot more athlete friendly in terms of the training, number of games per day, and curriculum. ECNL is for chest thumping parents who love their kids trophies. There’s something for everyone in this world. And DA keeping NT players in house is a great idea for them and should have been done by rule from the beginning.
You have nothing of substance.
So the ECNL is for trophy chasing parents and the DA is for NT chasing parents? The ECNL was modeled from the Boys DA and was the number #1 source for YNT roster spots. The GDA has emerged and unsuccessfully TRIED to steal everything the ECNL built because even they realized the power of the league.
If US Soccer truly cares, they would promote both pathways and allow for the leagues to compete at national showcases. The Penn Fusion people got it right. Recruiters and Scouts at one event watching ECNL and DA players compete with one another. Let let them be the judge. That's how we all win.
Nah, that's just how ECNL "wins." You are correct in that now that US Soccer has formed the GDA, ECNL is obsolete. There's no need for an ECNL now that there is an officially sanctioned organization.
How's the weather in Richmond today?
The weather in NOVA is nice. Thanks for asking.
Do you want the ECNL to disappear so you can claim that your daughter is in the superior league? Sounds like trophy chasing to me!
Do you want the GDA to produce the same product that the Boys DA has produced? You believe that US Soccer knows best?
God speed son.
LOL you are certifiable. The number of straw men posted here is over the top. No one was arguing any of that.
It's simple.....ECNL is no longer needed. It was created to fill a gap, per your admission. Sure, it can go on for reasons of ego and this silly war can continue. That doesn't benefit anyone.
There's a great book on this entitled "Who moved my cheese." You ECNL'ers should read it. Applies exactly to your situation. Now, go find that cheese.
Well, son, I'm not a socialist. Competing leagues is the Demoractic way.
Its stops harmful monopolys from taking hold.
I having a saying as well. Want to hear it?
"Never put you eggs in one basket".
Meaning: one should not concentrate all efforts and resources in one area as one could lose everything.
Pay attention.
