Two years ago the merger made perfect sense to the leadership of 4 very reputable clubs.
1st BRYC
2nd Loudoun and Arlington
3rd FCV
All jumped at the opportunity to partner with Spirit. Now it makes no sense? Please explain your hesitation in believing a hand that's already been shown to you? I challenge you to go back to any thread on this board and reexamine any topic related to the age change mandate, those being awarded DA status, mergers, partnerships, etc. There will be a ton of people just like you saying, "that makes no sense". Yet, it happened. That's the beauty of hindsight. You can learn from it....or not....its up to you.
Now, I'm not saying that it's going to happen. I'm merely suggesting that one should pay attention and be prepared to make decesions.

Your post is excessively defensive and hostile. You don't need to feel threatened if people speculate over the potential implications of legitimate news.

And that got me thinking: Spirit gets fields from GFR, but I don't see benefit to GFR. I don't know about the U13 pilot team, but none of the other teams have GFR players on them.
Anonymous wrote:U13 does have one 07 player who is dual rostered on GF and WS-GF also benefits from being able to practice with the U13 team on Friday nights and have the benefit of DA coaching. The Spirit players can also dual roster to play on the top GF teams. So, it’s not like GF isn’t seeing some benefit from the partnership.

Field space may be the reason...
Field space has not been an issue at any time this season save for the first two weeks back in August, for a 45 minute window. The partnership with Great Falls seems to be working great. The only reason this is coming up at all is the new partial owner, Larry’s hiring, and someone spewing FUD.
Rumors are saying otherwise about the GF partnership-it may be going South, and if so, would be a problem Spirit VA cannot overcome without a new partnership in the works.
