I honestly don’t know much about it. Bridges is probably the worst of the schools on the list location wise, but it looks like most students get in, so I thought it would be a good safety. Would like to hear more about cap city if you have feedback. Thanks!
I would think TR Young is a worse commute than Bridges for you.
It is. I only have it on there just in case I got in and was able to use the transfer option. Long shot for both, though. I could make it work once both kids are in school, but it wouldn’t work at all while the youngest is in day care. I may be able to pull it off for a year, but it wouldn’t be ideal by any means.

I honestly don’t know much about it. Bridges is probably the worst of the schools on the list location wise, but it looks like most students get in, so I thought it would be a good safety. Would like to hear more about cap city if you have feedback. Thanks!
We have friends at Cap City who love it -- it sounds like a really friendly and positive community, and the school shares lots of good qualities with ITS in terms of arts opportunities. But it's definitely not a safety--the wait list barely moved last year from what I hear.

Not the OP, but I don't understand why either. On paper, Barnard is doing better academically than most of the other schools on the OP's list. Can't speak to how warm the environment is, though.
Barnard is a great school (it is our in-boundary), we were there for PK and would have stayed except for our concerns about MacFarland (feeder pattern), but instead moved to a school with a more reputable middle school path when we got into our first choice.

TR4th and CHML probably wouldn't work for your commute.
TR4th isn’t ideal but not terrible for commute. CHML works well with the swing space currently and will be fine once my second is out of day care.
