Not going to read so many pages. But just to tack on, also completely dislike "Stinky" or such. What, is your child a skunk or pair of dirty socks?

We often call our toddler (in public) Stinky or Stinks (ex: She starts calling for me on the playground and I say, “hi, Stinks! I see you way up at the top of the slide!)and we do it because she had so much gas as a young infant.

What a horrible nickname for a child. Please stop this before your kid goes to school.

So are you. You just judged posters and called them “sad”. Why are you so judgemental, PP?

I guess you win

I didn’t win but I did embarrass you - so that is something to make me smile!

“We’re applying to [school name]!”

If you dress your kid in Cleveland Indians or Redskins gear (super common at our preschool) then I assume you are either racist or clueless and I don’t want to know you.

I drink. I don’t care if you drink. But if you make “mommy needs wine” jokes or talk about putting wine in sippy cups or have shirts with alcohol jokes like “Rose all day”, we’re probably not going to be friends.

My kids don’t have allergies, but if you roll your eyes about safety precautions for kids with allergies in our kids’ classroom and act all put out that someone else wants you make a few small changes to keep their kid safe, then I assume you are a selfish bitch who probably texts when you drive and doesn’t give a shit about anyone else’s kid but her own.

100% agree with all of this!

Me, too.

Although, I have never, ever seen anyone use the term #girlmom. That's part of what bothers me so much about #boymom: it's gender-specific and, IME, most often used by moms who attribute their sons' poor behavior to their gender. This mom of two boys and one girl (I'm the PP who first mentioned it) says NO.

Also, thanks for getting it about allergies. Having a kid with peanut allergies is terrifying, though most of the time we exist just fine.

I STILL call my son Stink or Stink Man. He's 9.

+1 "Boymoms" make me crazy.

when someone here starts talking about brain development before 3yo or brain synapses I can’t agree with any point that poster is making. In real life I find parents who focus on a toddler’s intelligence and development insufferable.

Ouch! DH insisted that he be “Papa” instead of Dad/Daddy. I told him it was milenial yuppie but he insisted.

Same with DH, but he’s not a millenial. We’re not white tho. Does that make it okay?

I agree also, especially about the whole mommy needs wine culture. It is so sad.
