Prep, and the Jesuits in general, heavily promote social justice. The toxicity of politics cannot obscure the their service across under served communities for decades. Kinoborderinitiative.org is but one recent example. Prep students and the school are major supporters of this org and many like it...

Way to go, Prep. This is your legacy. The sort of men you raised are posting women-hating trash like this. If Prep has any real heroes, you'll definitively reject this sort of ugliness. Show us your stripes.

Yes a legacy of producing alumni such as Supreme Court Justices (note use of plural), Federal Reserve Chair, senator, congressmen, NFL team owner, GM of the Yankees, CEOs, NBA All-Star, NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Michelin Starred chef, Medal of Honor recipient, Pulitzer Prize winner, Emmy Award winner and pioneer in chemotherapy. By the way, another one of Prep’s students just committed to Yale—he’s African American, not white. Two years ago, Prep sent three graduates to West Point in a graduating class of 120 (last year Prep “only” sent two). It’s average SAT score is 1386—over 300 points above the national average. Such shame.

Wow, I invite you to reject obvious misogynist trash, and show us the Prep produces real heroes ... and you ignore that invitation to give me Prep’s resume. Shows what kind of values Prep promotes. Really disappointing.

Hey disappointed! What have you done for your country?

Served in Afghanistan, now working at Department of Justice. As a proud grad of an all-boys school (not Prep, and not even DC area), I'd like to think other graduates of my school would behave far more honorably than you're acting here. To be blunt, you disgust me. I sincerely hope you are not representative of Georgetown Prep. Disappointing.

By the way, before you make assumptions about me, I am not white and did not grow up in Bethesda or Chevy Chase. I immigrated here at age three and speak English as a second language. I grew up in Prince George’s County. My parents owned a small business and faced discrimination, armed robberies (three to be exact), among many other challenges. Prep was (and remains today) the most inclusive community I have ever had the privilege to be a part of. My high school friends are still my closest and the ones I trust the most. I apologize to you for nothing.

Marine posting. I don’t want your apology. I want you to treat women with respect. Where I grew up, we would kick the crap out of anyone who posted something like that about our mothers, our sisters, or any of our female friends. I hope you’re just young and immature, and that you’ll grow up sometime. I’m disappointed other Prep grads (or their parents) are not calling you out right now. Strange and sad that it falls to some outsider like me. Show some honor and class for chissakes.

Your post is bizarre as you are one of the elite. You went to prep, college and marines as an officer and probably did what, 4 years max. I respect those who do their 20, at least do 10-12 before you take real bragging military rights.

The Marine posted that he did not go to Prep but a different boys school.

They are basically all the same with different spins on them.

Are you the poster that is saying that you do not respect servicemen and women that give only four years of their time to the military. You are out of line. who are you to decide who is deserving of military bragging rights.

No, I'm not. I get so tired of those with only a few years service expecting the same respect and benefits as retirees.

When are the Kegger 100 (or 14) going to publically apologize to Renata?

I posted nothing about women. I’m focused on the negative and inaccurate portrayal of my high school alma mater. I’m probably older than you are since I was born in the 60s. I respect the hell out of anyone who served our country, especially a Marine, but get off of your moral high horse.

We are same vintage - also born in 60s. If you want to defend your HS, then tell anyone who posts demeaning crap about Renata or another woman (like the 1st post in this thread) that you wont put up with that kind of disrespectful behavior. Surely they taught you to be respectful, didn’t they? Surely they taught you to protect those who are being bullied, didn’t they? No matter what you think about Kavanaugh and his accusers, you have to agree that this Renata woman did nothing to deserve being bullied and insulted here or by Kavanaugh and his friends. That was just wrong. IMHO, your responsibility is to fight against such behavior, not overlook it.

It’s that some boys can get away with it, despite the school’s claims of building character, that’s the problem.

The Catholic Church has done immense good around the world over the last hundred years. That doesn’t negate AT ALL the appalling way they handled sexual abuse by priests. Prep doesn’t get to focus on the positive things while ignoring the horrible behavior of some of their “finest” men.

This.

Yes, this.
