0-1 with the goal coming at the very end vs an experienced set of Italians for a bunch of young guys just starting at that level isn’t too shabby. Of course they have a long way to go and hopefully getting a permanent coach will help. But it could have been a lot worse.

I think it's gonna be Berhalter. American, yes, but at least he had a long career playing in Europe.

If this happens, it would be depressing. No international experience, slightly above 500 record in a third tier league like MLS, and they took over a year to come up with this brilliant hire? Get ready for the usual narrative: we need more time, be patient, the future is bright. At the same time, Mexico hires a world class coach, who coached Barcelona and Argentina national team, plus has MLS experience.

We're they really outplayed last night? Wasn't it 0-0 until the last 30 seconds? Had he game ended a minute sooner with a draw would it still be a disappointment to you?

DP, but did you even watch the game before making that comment?

I wish a coach like Leonardo Jardim would consider coaching the national team.

If they go with an MLS coach who isn’t Tata, we’re most likely gonna get a younger version of Bruce Arena. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s still essentially the same regime running US Soccer, or an extension of the old regime.

I think Tata is the only MLS coach worth pursuing. The rest are not at his level, plus many have zero international coaching experience.

We might as well have kept Klinnsmann

Good question. I'm 99% sure they'll go with an American after the years with Klinnsman.
And if they're going to do that, I'm good with Berhalter.

What about Vermes?
