The real question is can you (a) believe Cohen and (b) if he's 'flipping' to protect his family, can you believe what he says, given his family has been clearly threatened?

What are you even talking about? Yes, when someone pleads guilty, they don't need a trial by judge or jury. You go straight to sentencing.
