Tax the rich? Not sure what the Jealous definition of rich is, but I bet anyone with a HHI of $200K and up will be screwed. Around here thats a lot of people. How else are we going to pay for free pre-k and college?

Thank you! I was trying to explain this to my husband. Four years ago most of MoCo and PG county didn't show up to vote for anything, assuming Anthony Brown was a shoe in. If democrats in our two counties come out in full force for Jealous, he will become governor. Hopefully, as a state we'll be able to shield ourselves from the awfulness of the current administration and the nightmare that the Supreme Court is about to become.

I voted for Hogan last time around. It's going to be a while before I vote for a Republican for anything. Sorry, Larry.
I don't think he's really done much as governor, such as choosing not to wade into race issues in Baltimore. A meek decision but probably wise politically. He vetoed the renewable energy bill, which would be enough to get me to vote against him this time around.

Yes, tax the rich, but we also need to tax big business. They just got a huge windfall from Trump on the federal level, but we can at least make sure that they pay their fair share in MD.

I don't want Jealous to tax rich Marylanders that much because I'm worried they'll move across the border and we'll be stuck with people who take and don't take -- this is my same concern with Elrich in MoCo
But I don't want Hogan to expand the beltway

I don't think you have a conception of the amount of taxes the wealthy pay. The extremely rich may be able to avoid a lot of taxes, particularly if much of their income is passive. But the working wealthy, pay a much greater percentage of their income than do middle class families.
