Bad for business. Will keep us in the death spiral of high earners leaving, no new jobs being created and taking more and more from the few suckers that are left in the county all while sending a huge message to everyone else: come here if you want to contribute little and get lots for free!
Also was strongly opposed by the smart growth types at GGW, if you care about those issues.
Anonymous wrote:My specific complaint about Elrich is that his answers about his top priorities are always about something other than the fact that the county is on the decline economically and is driving high tax payers out.
He talks about the $15 minimum wage as a good thing, but it's just another burden for business owners in the county and another reason to not create jobs here.
He thinks he can be this great "social justice warrior" but at the county level, you just end up creating policies that tell the rich people to move across the border and pay their taxes somewhere else and the poor people to cross the border to come right in and start enjoying all the free stuff.

What about that member makes you terrified? His temper or something else?
Very narrow scope of interest on issues, almost no interest in upcounty issues, highly disorganized.
Berliner or Ehlrich?
My bet is Ehlrich - I love his ideas on transportation etc., but the devil's in the details, and he seems short on those. Berliner does show a lack of interest in upcounty. I kind of like Krasnow - she seems to have good ideas and provides details on how she hopes to achieve them that are not just "we'll get the money from somewhere...." I, too, am not a fan of Leventhal.
Krasnow has been the most impressive to me too. Not sure what her chances are.
Her chances are zero. I don’t mind her but time is short and people really need to coalesce around a consensus candidate that has the best shot of beating Elrich. At this point, it doesn’t look like that’s happening. I hate Elrich so much, I’ll likely end up voting for that crackpot Ficker in the general.

Not voting for him.
Um, developers don't want restrictions like mpdus...so why on earth would you think he would be in bed with developers?

Any new project in MoCo requires some % of MPDUs. Leventhal is unique in that he wants to see home prices decrease. I understand wanting more affordability, but you don't want the value of your current home to decline.
Not true.
He wants more affordable housing. He also wants to retain our higher end taxpayers (in fact, he wants to grow those numbers). He wants both. I hope he can make it work.

I have seen Teachers Unions endorse a lot of bad candidates. I want what's best for students, not teachers (sorry)
