I know " hey UVA !! How you guys doin on those title searches?
I forgot about the muppets! Thanks for reminding me of the incredible impact of U. MD and the sad legacy of all the VA schools!
None of the things you mention can compensate for the tears falling from the embarrassed eyes of mothers having to mumble, under their breath, he, uh, he, uh, goes to ...Maryla nd.
You must really feel embarrassed when you use google , buy something with a bar code on it, kids watch muppets, have anything with Underarmour in it, watch a weather report with radar, go to a stadium with a Jumbotron , drive a car with octane gasoline or a hybrid engine, have your dads defribulator restart his heart, use the pill... You are just making U.MD more arrogant and in control of your life!
We don't need anything from the Va schools. Their alumni could vanish and nobody unrelated would notice.
This is fun!!
None of this has anything to do with the quality of the student body. It’s not good, bro. Not good. But hey. Enjoy the Muppets and watching replays of Marylan d pathetic football team on the Jumbotron.
Lolz.. The student body has the 7th highest SAT scores of all publics in the nation plus they are tough and not shrinking violets. Well above Wisconsin , Unc and tied with Ucla. That's why they invent and create the modern culture and economy.
However, Maryland is not ranked above these schools.

Wisconsin requires their athletes to meet more than the NCAA minimums (which are a joke). That doesn't mean every single athlete meets the same academic standards as non-athletes who are admitted.
I didn't say they did. But on average, the recruited athlete at UW has a much higher threshold for admissions than just about any school in the P5 except Stanford, Northwestern and maybe Vanderbilt. Despite that, the department has maintained a level of excellence in certain sports including the income generating football, Men's basketball and women's hockey and volleyball.
Football
Volleyball
Men's hockey
Women's hockey
Men's basketball
All ranked in the top 10. No other school can say that
16 post season bowl appearances in a row
19 consecutive NCAA tournament appearances
Damn straight!
No national champs though. Rankings are fine but winning it all in at least one is better.
F-f-f-false. A quick Google search reveals that WI-Madison teams have won numerous NCAA national championships.
None very recent.
Careful.. Don't use google it empowers U.MD
Hickey is quite recent. Nothing empowers MD except wishful thinking that a third rate school with an ugly campus is special.
^ hockey
Higher SATs than Wisconsin , more national championships including in football and men's basketball the two biggest and located inside the beltway of the worlds most powerful city. Just sayin.

It's Michigan, not Harvard, but nice try. Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:U.MD has higher incoming SATs and ACTs than Wisconsin. Just being inside the nations capital beltway makes is less perochial.
I’d rather be with in-state MD kids than a bunch of in-state WI or MI farm kids
I’d rather be anywhere but MD. That’s probably how most people think.
Lol.. U.MD has the 7th highest incoming SATs in the country among publics. More national championships , Nobels , Emmys , academy awards, fields medals , Pulitzers and impactful alumni than all the Va schools together. U.MD is for tough achievers which is a scary environment for shrinking violets.
Yeah, I think the scary environment is living in College Park. Maybe that toughens up the kids?
