I think you are right. Let's follow Mike Pence's lead and provide electro-shock therapy to see if we can get their minds right.
No one is saying they can't be transgendered. We are saying the taxpayers should not pay for the surgeries.
That isn't what the President is proposing. He is willfully removing thousands of active patriots (something he never did) from service. It has nothing to do with surgeries and everything to do with hate and fear-mongering.
Thousands?? So now there are thousands of transgendered persons in the military. Lol
2014 https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/research/military-related/us-transgender-military-service/
The same "Williams Institute" did a study and found that 0.3% of the 340 million Americans are Transgender. That is 102,000 and according to the PP they all are in the military. LOL!
Where did you pull that from. The numbers I have seen are 10,000-15,000. My husband has one in his reserve unit. He says it is no big deal.
My active duty son says it's a huge deal.
Asthma = can't serve
Trans = can serve.

I'm not sure I understand what your son's beef is. He has asthma but can't serve, and he's piqued that someone who has what he perceives to be a more deleterious medical problem is allowed to? Or is this a moral thing he's saying? It's a strange comparison.
Dear clueless, ppl with asthma are disqualified from service due to medical issues.
Trans, who have infinitely more medical issues, can serve.
My son serves. Currently deployed.
What "infinitely more medical issues" do you mean, outside of the one that homophobes are so freaked out by - the reassignment surgery
Infinitely more medical and mental issues.
Trans surgery does not "fix" trans people. They still commit suicide at higher rates than the non trans population.
Just what high stress high tempo jobs need!

What are their medical issues? This decision by Trump would ALSO kick out any trans person who has also completed the transition process. In fact, I'd say the vast majority have already transitioned. That phase of their life is over.
What about women and their medical issues? Mentally ill soldiers? All of them can serve, yet you're not going on about their medical issues.
All of them can't serve. ADHD people aren't allowed to serve. There are all sorts of restrictions.

You're intolerance is showing.
A person with asthma has a physical condition that may limit his/her ability to function in a combat setting.
A person who is transgender and has no physical illnesses or limitations can serve perfectly well in combat.
Were I on the battlefield, I'd rather have an able-bodied transgendered person fighting alongside me than an asthmatic man or woman.

There's a twitter thread here from an Iraqi vet--amputee. Worth reading. Explains the issue.

I have seen countless posts here denigrating service members, and how greedy and attention seeking they are.

Transparent and disgusting.
Fixed that for you. Trans people just want to be left alone. Why can't Republicans stop talking about them and legislating against them? Let them do their job in peace.
Also, you seem to be gunning for a gold medal in the Martyr Olympics. USA! USA!
