This is such a bizarre post. I have one of each and I do believe there are innate differences just as their are socialized differences.

I can say that my boy - who is an average typical boy - has never done some of the thing posted on here (blood, broken things in the house, run around restaurants)! But then again neither has my girl. So maybe that is just good parenting...

Totally disagree. And I have a fairly gentle boy, and a fairly rough-and-ready girl, but there are clearly innate differences that are not socialization. DD is a little nurturer with her dolls, sushing them and putting them down to sleep, and ds just wants to build bridges all over the house. Of course each kid is individual and I support the idea that everyone should "be who they are", but I don't see how you can have any experience with children and say gender differences are strictly due to socialization.

It is socialization. My daughter got knocked on a developmental test because she doesn't play act with dolls. That is because I didn't give her dolls. So I daughter her a stuffed animal was a "baby" and showed her how to put it to bed so I could say yes to the question on her next eval. At 22 months she loves climbing everything and risk taking. She only puts her stuffed dino to bed because I showed her. Also her brother died at the drop of the hat. My dd not so much.

She's working on her third degree, and her brothers joined the Military or are working at the family business, a mix of office work, meeting clients, and some get dirty blue collar work. One is definitely using his GI Bill when he leaves the Military.

Within my family, I can say the male children are definitely less drama, more satisfied with day to day life.

I think society puts huge pressure on girls to be gorgeous...high achieving, perfect. I think women judge each other way more harshly as a rule, all while blaming men and society.

Boys seem easier, men seem easier.

Girls and women have created their own thunderdome and are participating in the ring and stands.

It takes a lot to put expectations in balance for women.

Why are a few #girlmoms on this thread so angry? It's absurd. I never see this kind of hashtag except when a parent is relating something humorous their kid did. These is no story here. I laugh the same at classic boy stories as when I saw those videos of the dads doing a dance class with their daughters, or when my son thought his friend at school's name was Elsa because she asked everyone to call her that.
