PP - do you mind sharing your subscores for WISC V, we have NNAT 126 and COGAT 128, however we did not include WISC in the referral process and now exploring should we do WISC for appeal.

No offense, but what was so special about your child, that you child got in despite low test scores. What did you say in the parent questionnaire? What made your child stand out? Did you notice your child's giftedness yourself, or did the AART point it out despite you not understanding.

I'm asking so this can be a lesson learned for my own child, for my child's future, not to be provocative and/or put down your child.

I believe you might have misspoke because the exact opposite is true. If you request the application packet what shows is the subscores only and not the composite, although it was composite that was used for the in pool score.

Oh, this was my post from yesterday. Not a troll and the NNAT was 98, not percentile, I checked before posting. I agree that the test scores are very low.

My Son got admission, we got to know the news yesterday evening.

For Appeals - what do they look in WISC V in terms of new information? Should Fluid Reasoning be 130+ or FSIQ itself be 130+, not sure what tilts the scale. Any info is appreciated

Some kids don't test well. I imagine that if every child went into these tests completely cold as they are designed to be taken, rather than many being prepped by their parents, language school classes, etc., that scores would generally be lower.

I'm sure every year there are some kids with low test scores and really high GBRS who get in.

DD did not get into the program and am now considering whether to take the WISC V. My eldest DS got into the program and DD is aware of it because of him. She is an avid reader and writer (her recommendation provided that she is reading at a 4th grade level) but she may not be as 'advanced' in the quantitative/math skills area.

Should I appeal and take the WISC V?
