I really wanted a lovely daughter first, truth be told. And was thrilled when she arrived. And then I wanted a sweet little boy. He came and made our little family complete.
Happy to have one of each.

I think most people love the kids they get and are happy with their lives.

One of the things that has to happen for parents is that they stop being in love with their fantasy of being a parent and learn to love the family that they got.

I always thought I wanted one of each. After having my son, I realized I would be perfectly happy having both boys (we knew we were done at 2). Ended up having a girl but would have been perfectly happy with 2 boys.

It's wonderful to love and celebrate the gender of the child you were blessed with.
It's not okay to be so filled with seething resentment over whatever happened to make you dislike your own gender that you make biased, sweeping and embittered comments about that gender.
Get a grip and some therapy.

I guess this goes to show how individual all of this is, because I couldn't disagree more with ALL of this.
