The Clinton marriage appeared to be based on an intellectual attraction. That has its shortcomings, especially where one person has a high sex drive, but there's something enduring about that.
The Trump marriage appeared to be based on a sexual attraction--without more, that's really hard to maintain. I think a lot of those marriages fail as people become older or the novelty wears off.
Obviously it's best if you can have both plus mutual respect and and shared life goals. But I think we all know that neither of those two marriages is the whole package.

Yes, IMHO it is. They feed something in each other that makes their lives better. I also think it has made many other peoples' lives better too, but that is for the politics forum.

I loved the blue dress/coat thing. I like the white ballgown a lot but not 100%--there is something a little off about the waist bow and the lily swoosh together.

Ivanka's dress is just awful. So weird for her when she usually has great taste. Also, we pale white girls can't wear taupe or tan!

I liked the top of tiffany's dress but thought the mermaid poof tail was too big.

And that DIL with the tacky gold thing...that was really awful. There's a cheap store in the mall that sells cheap, flashy sort-of-slutty formal wear....it reminded me of that. Why would someone with money dress that way? Yikes.

And Ms. Pence's dress looked K-Mart.

White ballgown was amazing and you can tell that actual dressmaking expertise went into making it - gorgeous fabrics, crafty construction, architectural proportion, everything. It was a work of art, imho.

Blue suit is OK but unremarkable.
