APB to all southern women - stop being Awesome, you are threatening the northern women. They are tall and fat and mad. Their clunky shoes make vicious weapons! Like Bulls, they may seem large, oddly shaped and hulking, they can move fast when provoked with bright colors and patterns.

We've lived all over the world, including literally every region of the U.S. Girls and women in the South are more attractive overall. It's partly the way we dress and take care of ourselves. However, I think the main reason men find southern women attractive is because we don't walk around trying to be men. We can be educated, smart and successful without trying to act like we have a penis.
Southern women have a softness that northerners just don't have. Even our accent is soft and feminine. Hearing DC women speak is like nails on a chalkboard to my husband - just too fast, too loud, and too aggressive. You can be respected in the workplace an still act like a lady.
Want to be more southern? Dress nicely. Do your hair and make up. Speak softly. Never curse around anyone but your closest friends. Don't get offended when a man holds open the door or offers his seat. If you weren't raised to behave like a lady, learn what that means.

Anonymous wrote:I am a typical northern 30 something DC dwelling female. I dress pretty frumpy and don't have a clue about how to be flirty or attract a guy. My twenty three year old younger sister is friends with this "southern belle" and watching her is like a revelation on how to be beautiful or feminine.
Get this; this girl is only 23 but she is just so...self aware and so sure of herself and her womanly wiles. She is petite, has bleach blonde curly hair, wears bright colors and always has her nails and toes done. She also always wears a full face of makeup and is so naturally feminine. The way she flirts with guys and walks and talks. Its SO new and strange to me.
Wish I knew how to do that!

I've never heard such a statement. I am white and my hair is stick straight. Does not hold a curl even if I shellac it with hairspray while it's wrapped around a curling iron.
I wear powder foundation, eyeshadow, mascara and lip gloss and it takes me 40 minutes to get ready including a shower. Bright colors. Good quality pieces. Mix and match color. Navy with everything. BUT it's not just about fashion. Like others have said, smile more. Be polite. Know your manners and etiquette. Be a lady.
That was me -
There's always an exception to every rule. And I believe I said "there's a high probability"... but in any case - let me ask you this. You claim your hair is naturally stick straight. But if you're like most people I know, your hair is not natural and hasn't been for years. You've likely bleached your hair at some point, or got highlights, or got some treatment done to it. You probably even use special shampoos or conditioners designed to keep your hair straight. With that in mind - can you still say that you have naturally straight hair?
