The Man in the Moon is a Reese Witherspoon movie (she was very young) that's pretty good.

Party Girl (not a Reese Witherspoon movie) is good but is more of a cult classic.

Bottle Rocket. It doesn't seem to be as popular as the other Wes Anderson movies, but I think it is actually his best one.

The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover is a good one. Not sure how much it was watched.

Never Cry Wolf.

Queen Margot (French with subtitles). Again, not sure how much it was watched.

Paradise Road (Cate Blanchett and Glen Close)

PP here again.

Jude the Obscure with Kate Winslett is a very good one of the Thomas Hardy novel.

PP here again... Two more

Lolita -- the Jeremy Irons one, not the older one. It's very true to the novel.

Damage, another Jeremy Irons movie

Whale Rider

A lot of people saw it, but it was no Titanic. And if you've been to New Zealand, it will probably make you ache to be back.

YES. I love that movie.

I have a vague memory of seeing this. Early 90s? Ione Skye? I suppose I could google this and answer for myself, LOL.

To Live is one of those movies that will stick in your head for years. I don't know anyone else who has seen it, though, so glad you posted, PP.
