There are millions of depressed people and people feeling pressure and worthless.
They don’t go to a recruitment center and take out 5 people.
The guy is a terrorist. His recent writings and statements verify that.
He was looking to be a martyr. But, he is really a coward.
They may not go to recruitment centers, but they do go to schools and movie theaters. But, being white, they aren't called terrorists.
And, yet, Dylan Roof has been called a domestic terrorist.
The more we find out about Abdulazeez, the more we find that he was identifying with and inspired by Muslim terrorists.
Why white-wash it?

The President won't even fly the White House flag at half-mast, even though he did so after Boston. Goes to show you how much contempt he has for our folks in uniform.
I'm beginning to think he can't envision any child of his on the flip side--serving in uniform, military or police. Would that just not occur to him, that his theoretical son could go that route too?
I do fail to see why he can't see his daughter's face in Ms. Steinle enjoying an outing on the SF pier.
A statement and gesture for both incidents is needed, given the precedence he himself created.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/chattanooga-shooting-fbi-recovers-gunmans-disturbing-diary/story?id=32558310
"With more than 30 FBI agents due to arrive today in Chattanooga, a diary belonging to the gunman and FBI interviews with his parents paint a picture of a disturbed, suicidal young man using drugs, preparing for bankruptcy and facing an appearance in criminal court, according to a representative of the shooter’ s family.
"Four days after the shooting, the FBI has not found any connection to overseas terrorist groups, but Mohammod Abdulazeez's diary says that as far back as 2013, he wrote about having suicidal thoughts and "becoming a martyr" after losing his job due to his drug use, both prescription and non-prescription drugs, the family representative said."
And for the poster above asking whether the family was doing anything about it:
"The family representative said Abdulazeez's family sought, without success, to get him treatment for his mental illness, and to keep him away from a group of friends with whom he would drink and smoke marijuana."
Unfortunately, the more I read these reports, the more it seems like this is a case of someone who was suffering from mental illness and lots of other emotional issues, sad all around!
I wonder if he was trying to self medicate for bi-polarism or what have you? I will like to hear more what this family did. Taking him away from friends and activities is not necessarily the best tack if they could not find a substitute.
While the kid seems to have been an all-Amercan boy, his parents are immigrants who probably have a very different cultural outlook; it would not be surprising if they viewed separation as a legitimate form of intervention if their son was hanging out with the wrong people.
Frankly, separation does not seem unreasonable to me. If anything, it shows a level of caring on his parents part.
But getting back to the main issue: why did he select the two military-related sites as his targets? Anyone have the latest on the investigation?
