Not trying to be snarky, but it would suck for her to go untreated. Pinworms are pretty harmless, but can throw off absorption of nutrients, cause discomfort, and irritability in kids. My son was being a little asshole, and sure enough, he had them.


My son has been being a little asshole for a month or so, my husband just mentioned to me the other am he woke up in the middle of the night complaining that his butt hurt "inside" then I read this thread.......

Oh, of course I would treat it! I was just thinking if she saw a toilet full of worms it would scar her for life.

The large majority of humans that have ever lived have had helminth infections, and have survived without therapy.


Who knows, she might be interested. At that age my sister and I used to race upstairs when we got home to watch the carpenter ants roam the bathtub. Took a few weeks for my parents to get someone out to get rid of them, and we were sorely disappointed when they did.

My husband had the same thing. He got it while traveling duribg his gap year. Dr said from a strawberry in Egypt. He went to several countries though. Grand mal seizures led to diagnosis. He still gets petit mals from scar tissue.
