Wow. This is the best passive aggressive crap I've seen on DCUM. Bravo Pp.Bravo.
Op ignore her. Your working this incident out in a way that works for you. And some of us will learn from you too.

OP here: Do I believe he actually was in PA? Yes. Do I believe his reason of "not wanting anyone to know"? No, not at all. I wasn't the only one he lied to, he didn't tell anyone else where he was going (besides his grandparents I guess- but only told them he was going to PA for a "job"). But no, I don't believe his reason at all.

Are you an only child?
OP here: My family is from Rhode Island although my grandparents are from Sicily if that matters at all. I'm not an only child, I have two younger siblings.
Funny, I was going to ask if the family wealth was from the "construction" business. I am assuming yes. That explains a lot!
Op here: nope. My grandfather started a successful business and my dad took it over when he retired. Nothing to do with construction at all.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Why were you constantly posting online about the issue with Bobcat man rather than turning to your real life friends and family for help and support?
Op here; if you had read the full post, you would have known that I was in fact talking to friends about it.
Anonymous wrote:OP, I mean this nicely although it may not come across that way on the internet. I think you have seriously low self esteem when it comes to men. I am the pot calling the kettle black here. I was very much the same way through my mid-30s. I highly recommend taking some serious time off from dating and just exploring why you've maintained relationships that aren't healthy. You can do so much better, but it does take a particular skill set when dating to find a good person. In any event, I wish you good luck.

I do have two client meetings tomorrow though so unfortunately won't be able to sit on DCUM all day like some PP's seem to think I do!
Anonymous wrote:OP, you mention that you have Sicilian ancestry; that you are from a wealthy family and from New England. I'm thinking that your father and grandfather were in the mob? Am I correct or am I stereotyping?
