Western omelets. Can not stand crunchy veggies in eggs. Yuk.
If they're crunchy, someone's doing it wrong. The peppers and onions should be sauteed till soft before being used as filling.
Also, a Western omelet has only ham, green peppers, and onion. No tomato. And no cheese.
All these restaurants that serve it with cheese are just giving in to the assumption that all Americans demand cheese on/in everything. (Or to the Americans who do in fact make such cheese demands.) But a real Western has nothing to do with that.
The same is true of a Western sandwich, which is simply a sandwich-size portion of Western omelet, on toast.
