Elvis's Aloha from Hawaii concert. It was the first time a concert was broadcast around the world via satellite. He was still in his prime and gave it all to his audience.

I've been to many awesome concerts over the years including several when I worked catering at Sun Devil Stadium (U2, Springsteen, AC/DC, Stones) while going to college but the most incredible moment I can think of was Paul McCartney coming out to all the screams from the audience and saying "Shhhh" into the microphone and an entire stadium got quiet enough to hear a pin drop in seconds.

Prince and Earth Wind and Fire back in the 80's.

The Police in Brussels in 1979.

The B52's at Merriweather Post.

+1 San Diego Sports Arena, 1987, the day the Joshua Tree became the #1 album in the US. The boys were really celebrating that night!

+1

Alan Wilder was always the best musician in the band, and the shows have not be the same for me since his departure. I have have seem every tour since Black Celebration in 1986. This having been said, the Corjbin visuals are always a masterpiece to behold and get more beautiful with each tour.

Abu Difranco at GW Lisner in 98 or 99. Every part of my body wanted to jump on stage and make out with her after that show.

That one was amazing!

We were right on the walkway part of the stage. Close enough that we could have touched Bono's hand if he had reached out.

And then when they came out and did the acoustic set of the old stuff on the second stage at the end of the walkway thing...started raining...Bono in a white t-shirt and cowboy hat.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I forgot about this! It was raining...and it was beautiful.

U2 Unforgettable Fire at the Caps Center -- During Bad, Bono sang, "Come on down," over and over calling everyone to rush the stage. My BFF and I made it to the 3rd row on the floor.

U2 Joshua Tree at RFK -- nosebleed seats, but still so good

U2 Zoo TV -- Whoa. Unbelievable. Like when I am old, I would like to have this memory.

U2 Pop Mart -- Say what you want. I had backstage passes and stood between the first row and the stage.

U2 360 -- FedEx Field and Baltimore -- VIP tickets for both shows. Another major wow.

Joan Osbourne with Lou Gramm at some no name festival somewhere. Holy sh*t what a good show. She sang her set and she was not well known. Lou Gramm did his set and then went over to the guy with the clipboard for a few words. He came back out and asked Joan Osbourne to sing a few songs with him. She was obviously surprised and looked terrified, but they sang some old hits that everyone knows and she just looked like someone had given her a million bucks.

American Idiot with Billy Joe singing one role and John Gallagher (now on The Newsroom).

Annie in London in the 80s with Albert Finney playing Daddy Warbucks

Into the Woods in London in the 80s with Ian McKellan when he was not famous. I came home from that trip and told my parents as a high schooler that this actor Ian McKellan was going to be famous because he was amazing.

You haven't seen a good concert until you have seen the band "Yuck" live.

I love love this group.
