I don't consider 8:30 an unreasonably late time for someone to be playing basketball on their own property. Put white noise in your kids' rooms.

This right here. If you're still in bed at 6:30, you're either a loser, unemployed, or just lazy AF.

I get up at 4. By 6:30, I've already run 3 miles and lifted a ton of weights, come home, showered, dressed, had breakfast, and am now walking to work.

I have called the cops on kids like that. I’m not sure where their parents are or how they raised them. It’s a cultural thing I guess

There are these women who walk in my neighborhood between 5:30 and 6:00 am and they talk SO LOUDLY they wake me up EVERY MORNING. Do you know what I do? Get up and go to the gym. Because I figure if I’m up I might as well be productive. But also, those women should have some common courtesy and STOP YELLING AT 5:30 am.

Things I do not do, call the police.

Actually bouncing basketballs do violate noise ordinances. We have asked our neighbors several times to stop playing after 8:30 p.m. because it keeps our young kids up. Other neighbors have also asked them to stop playing after 8:30 or at least 9:00. It's so loud that at least 4 families on the street are affected, and that is not including anyone behind them. I think you're missing the point that the school bus is probably coming before 7. So, you're actually asking the kids to hold off until after they've been sitting still in school for 7 hours.
