It's great. Now that the kids are driving I do yoga, kickboxing, gardening, biking, whatever. We have a live-in housekeeper, but I enjoy cooking.

Rich husband, but only if he was willing and able to give me enough assets at the outset that would allow me to live comfortably for the rest of my life should we get divorced, structured in a way where it was certain he would be unable to claw back those assets in a divorce ... otherwise, the career.

Me too. So much easier to suck up to your dad than live daily with a stressed out rich husband (unless they inherited it, becoming rich or having high earnings is very stressful and it spills over to the spouse).

I haven't read 10 pages but why is this even a serious question? Hands down the career. I'd count myself lucky if I had any of these four, let alone all four; successful + high paying + that I enjoyed + highly regarded. I was successful academically, attended two ivys but am at a low paying job I don't quite enjoy that it just so so regarded (federal attorney but not in those coveted agencies).

Absolutely agree. I would most definitely SAH with my kids in a heartbeat if we could afford it, and my DH agrees. We're going to try and make it work in the next year or so.

I'll take the rich husband so that I can SAH with my kids while they're young, and then have any career I want without financial worry once they're older. Best of both worlds.
