I receive a check from this company American Express Fx Fee Litigation settlement check for the amount of 3,850 on
the 03/14/2014 i took it to my bank and they told me to get reissued

We received a check for 3750.00. I called Huntington National Bank to verify the check and they verified the check and funds. We deposited it in to a savings account. Guess what? They stopped payment on the check. Now I am afraid this was a scam to get our savings account number or something. I am calling the bank tomorrow to see what the deal is with the stop payment on it.
Be very careful.

Received a check today for 3750.00. I called the bank and they verified the check for me and stated a website that I could go to to see a legit copy of the settlement checks. They are legit. The only thing I question is the amount. I will let you all know if it is not legit!! LOL Depositing into my savings account tomorrow.

well, I got one for $3750.00 but it came inside of a Prize claim Final notification letter. I verified the bank routing number and the account; it is legit; but the letter says to deposit it and then call them right away to have them send a courier out to me to collect a check for $1575 for taxes and they will hand me a check for $146,250.00 can't find them in the list of scams but don't trust it a bit. American bank check sent from PPC Financial Services of London UK phone 1-905-781-5701 the guy on the other end barely speaks English and just kept pushing e to cash the check....Can you say SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not hear any responses for these larger amount checks.

Go to your bank and speak with them about the check. They can verify it for you or tell you its worthless.

I also received $3,750 -- can't one prove the legitimacy by the check issuer and serial numbers, etc on the check itself?
