Have I pushed too hard? or too little? Should I have test prepped? Oh, the agony. I don't know if I have the will to peel myself off the floor and complete a referral.

PS I am just kidding. Sort of.

Please note that Parents or Guardians of students who are in the 2nd grade pool will be notified by the school and will require no referral form. Although we expected to send these letters this week, the test scores have been delayed. Therefore, these letters will be going home early next week.

Oh wait, I lied.

Mom, have you missed your pills again today?

Completing the parent packet is optional for in pool parents; however, I recommend that you do it. I would call your AART and ask him/her to explain the process in detail. Also, ask others what they are including.

Got the in-pool letter today by mail.

What's the next step?
Fill out the Questionnaire and submit to the teacher or who/where?

Who is going to choose work sample? - teacher or parent? - is this an option or required?
What could that be an Additional academic data as available?

Am i supposed to get an information packet seperately or should I ask to someone?

But with the absence of a letter it looks like the composite CogAT score was not high enough for the pool either. Maybe it was off by a small amount and there will still be a chance for AAP if we parent refer. Will now wait for the CogAT scores. Thank you for your help!

Good. Definitely parent refer. Ask other parents in 2nd grade that you know what they are doing for their packet. If you know folks with older kids in AAP, ask what they did. MWES parents are so great and helpful! Good luck!

17:19 if your child has the NNAT scores you will get a letter. True story, my neighbor's child had the score and the school mailed the in pool letter, but it got lost in the mail. I would call on Monday if you don't receive the email and ask to speak with Ms. Zin, the 2nd grade counselor. She should be able to help.
