I find it difficult to be close with:

People that can't handle alcohol (adults that get wasted and stupid). and yes I drink but know when to stop.

People that never ever email/call unless it is to invite you to a stupid home party or want something from you...

Extreme ANYTHING...extreme religious, political, vegan, organic breast-feed til school aged...and can't see the other side. All is great but no need to be a cult about it.

People that you know very little that friend request you on FB and never once reach out to communicate with you. Im all about you trying to get to know be better - but if you don't engage, you are gone.

For the most part, I'm with the pps who said they can pretty much be friends with anyone. My lines are:

1. jealous people, especially if they are jealous of me and become persistently mean as a result

2. people who don't fix problems they could change and then complain about it

3. proselytizers. Right now I have a friend who is really into homebirth and will not shut up about it. It's so bad she couldn't even be happy for another friend who had a great birth in a hospital. She's always trying to remake all of her friends in her own image and it's getting on my last nerve. Since I don't want to violate Rule #2...

OMG my twin! I saw this the other day and pointed it out to my DH. Dirty feet, chipped polish and everything. So effing gross. My mom also never let us put our feet up in the dashboard on the same principle, so now I think THAT looks tacky too.

People who are serious and cannot laugh at themselves or appreciate their blessings in life.

I feel bad about this, but I find it hard to maintain a friendship with someone who speaks with a heavy accent to the point where I can only barely understand them in person and cannot understand them at all over the phone. I know, I'm yucky, but I like to be able to talk with my friends and know what they are saying to me. Also, people who turn everything back to themselves. You tell them something that is going on in your life, they barely listen and then start talking about themselves. Anything that's happened to you has happened to them but worse.

I can't be friends with athiests who absolutely refuse to even acknowledge that other people feel and believe differently (I know the same can be said for Christians, I know this, but this is MY list lol)

People who give BTDT-like advice for EVERY situation that pops up.. sometimes, I just want to talk without unsolicited advice.

People who put such a huge emphasis on money and their income, we make a pretty decent living, but we have also gone through periods of time where our income was barely there, and believe it or not, it IS possible to be happy without making 6 figures.

Immature women (who are definitely old enough to at least present themselves like adults) who act like they are still in high school in the way they dress, talk, flirt, etc.

Men who feel like they are God's gift to all women.

Women who feel like they are God's gift to all men.

Over dramatic people who are always complaining about small issues in their lives like they are the only ones who have EVER gone through something. (Seriously, *sob* you have NO idea what it's like to look in the mirror and realize that your jeans make your ass look big do you?!

I can't believe that my husband and I are fighting about which direction to put the toilet paper roll on in the bathroom.. I hate this, you have no idea what it's like to argue like this..)
