What else?? You mean that what daddy did is not enough to buy our adulation for his progeny?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I'm 100% against illegal aliens and would vote for any candidate who would introduce a bill that would set into motion a way to deport all illegals. No "anchor baby" BS either. Go through the proper channels to gain citizenship. If you can't, tough shit. The US doesn't owe anyone the right to live here.

Not pp but I'm white and a somewhat liberal independent. My mother's family came over here in the late 1600's (county in VA named for them) and my father's family came over a couple of centuries later legally on a British passport. Both families worked hard and my father spent 37 years in the US armed forces of this country fighting in three wars to protect and ensure your freedoms. What have you done?
Gee, such adjectives! Guess what, there are illegal immigrants serving in the military - right now - to ensure our freedoms, too. And surprise surprise many illegal immigrants work hard also.
What else ya got?

Anonymous wrote:I am the granddaughter of illegal immigrants who came to this country, worked very hard, paid taxes, and eventually became citizens. Whenever I asked them why they came here they always gave me the same answer: "For a better life." I believe they did have a better life here and I'm grateful that because of them I am an American citizen. They faced some discrimination, but because they were white (Irish) and had charming accents, I think people were much more welcoming to them. I am not prejudiced against illegal immigrants because I assume that they, like my grandparents, came here for a better life and truly want to fit in and be "American". I believe that their children will be fully assimilated into American culture and will consider the U.S. their homeland, and it pains me to think that many of them of will be denied the opportunity to go to college or pursue their professional dreams because of bigoted people that don't see these kids as our future leaders and stewards of our country. Instead, I see a future with an ever widening gap between the haves and have-nots.

The two easiest solutions to think of are "Throw them out" and "Ignore the law". The first is logistically impossible and the second is politically impossible, so the issue is how do we find a reasonable middle ground?Anonymous wrote:15:58. This is a discussion of whether or not we are pro immigration. I am. It is a discssion of whether we are pro ILLEGAL immigration. I am not. Please stay on point.
