I had the chance to watch their last few games and got a glimpse of the future varsity team with the 2026 seniors cheering them on. The team displayed great chemistry, superb passing, and ball movement, along with impressive dodging skills! They are definitely going to dominate next year as well! KJ & BL must be thrilled to coach this talented 2027, 2028 and 2029 group of players. I even overheard parents from the opposing team mistaking their sophomores and juniors for seniors because of how well they played! They were that impressive!

Ooops, too late!
Nah. They’ll start with mostly freshman next year, develop them, skipping over the other grades, and then play for another title in four years.
This is just ignorant.80 percent of saints is best player plays. 20 percent are political appointments.

28 first team players?
Seems more like a participation trophy.
I would think of it more like 1st team, 2nd team, and HM in one group. That said, all but two of the upperclassmen are committed. Decent list as well:
UVA, Michigan, Mercer, Penn, Penn, Denver, W&M, Duke, Davidson, Georgetown, Duke, FSU, UVA, Harvard, Yale, Villanova, ND, Dartmouth, Davidson, VT, Dartmouth,
Rutgers, and one D3 (UofC). Probably have to be able to catch to play at these schools.
Fair amount of commits on the ISL A list as well. All of these girls have worked hard and should be congratulated for their achievement. Was surprised not to see the NCS goalie on A.
It was sabotaged by Chandy’s other half! He saw her swag and lack of embarrassing hashtag and knew that she was a threat. Praying that he doesn’t nuke capital next! 🙏🙏🙏

Tough one to predict. Regular season game went to overtime, and the two teams have nearly identical records against common competition. Pretty evenly matched. Both team's have star senior middies playing in their last high school games. Will come down to which team wants it more.
Visitation -2
Visi wins 13-8
Visi got all but 1 or 2 draws. ND commit just put the ball wherever she wanted to. Relatively even game otherwise, but possession is everything. Impressive effort.

This poster clearly has an axe to grind against SSSAS/KJ, even when the facts show their team was just really good this year and played exceptionally good team lacrosse. It’s always something: they can’t win the big one and will wilt at the end of the year, they can’t win in the shot clock era, they will choke because they can’t handle the pressure of expectations, they don’t play good competition, all the usual unsupported dribble. All false.
The objective facts show they went 25-1, won two championships, played 10 games against teams ranked/receiving votes in national polls, got stronger as the year went on, dominated a good Stone Ridge team in the finals with a shot clock, and dominated a good STAB team in the finals without a shot clock. They have good talent on the team coming back, and no one is claiming anything next year other than they will compete. All not good enough for the haters.
I hope next year we can enjoy multiple quality teams in the area, and that the newer teams and established teams keep producing quality players we can root for in college as representing our region with pride. So many of these high school girls are close friends from travel/the circuit, and much closer than many of the vitriolic posters on this board who tear down these impressive young women instead of celebrating them. And for those who wanted a summary of the actual game, here’s the posted summary from the VISAA thread.

10-5 SSSAS wins. A lot of talented players on both sides, SSSAS just much better team overall that played well together. SSSAS went out to 5-0 lead, it was 6-1 at half, 7-3 well into 4th Q, and was never close. A shot clock wouldn’t have made a difference. Congrats to two talented teams on impressive years, with STAB getting a signature win over an excellent Good Counsel team and SSSAS winning two banners. A bunch of great players showing lax talent abundant in the region.
This 100%
Congrats to the Saints players! Well deserved! Looking forward to seeing all the DMV players from all these local schools playing in college. Our local peeps should be so proud of all these players and thankful the state championship trophy stayed in the DMV as it helps our region for recruiting and building strong lacrosse reputation for all these teams & for all the DMV programs. Instead of betting against each other support each team’s wins! Happy for the SSSA and know many of the parents/players! I would much rather have SSSA with the trophy than a school in Charlottesville!
