I will continue to watch with pleasure the American electorate’s disdain for Israel grow larger with every passing day, and look forward to the near future when the spigot shuts off to these genocidal a**h*les.

That will not happen in our lifetime, even if the vast majority of Americans did not want to lavishly fund citizens of another country. I would love the tides to change but there is a strong hold on lawmakers through political donations.

Israel’s top Jewish religious body ‘refuses to condemn’ smashing of Jesus statue

Israel’s Chief Rabbinate has declined to condemn the smashing of a statue of Jesus by a soldier in southern Lebanon earlier this month, according to Army Radio.

The report on Thursday said military officials had asked the Rabbinate, the highest Jewish religious authority in Israel, to issue a statement condemning the incident, which drew widespread criticism.

According to the report, the army requested that the Rabbinate denounce the act as contrary to Jewish law, but no such condemnation was issued.

Instead, the Rabbinate reportedly agreed to coordinate with the military and Israel’s propaganda apparatus, known as hasbara, in handling similar incidents in the future.

The Israeli military did not deny the report.

“Given the sensitivity surrounding the harm to a religious symbol, the IDF (Israeli army) considered various options for conveying that this incident does not reflect its values,” the military said.

“Naturally, some of these measures were implemented while others were not,” it added.

I misssed this:

> Last month, an Israeli soldier was filmed vandalising a statue of Jesus with a sledgehammer in southern Lebanon. He and another soldier, who filmed the attack, were jailed for 30 days.

The government let these terrorists, inciting religiois war, go free with a slap on the wrist!

the video is horrific as is this quote:

However, the RFDC said their figures seriously understate the extent of the problem, as Orthodox congregations tend not to report incidents. The group recounted a monastery in Mea Shearim telling them there had been “no significant incidents” but adding: “The truth is, we hardly left the house. At times, when we did go out, children spat and cursed the name of the Lord Jesus. I cannot tell you how many times this occurred.”

translates to Christian Isrealis living in constant fear- even children.

I love the jew that walk by and does nothing. And he's not just oblivious or minding his own business because he turns around to watch.

go on and tell us that Muslims are the enemy-

these ancient Christian communities were thriving until this new set of Europeans came to the ME, reminds me of the Crusades when German Crusaders slaughtered the Armenian Christians in Constantinople when the Armenians betrayed their country by opening the ports in order to help the Christian army. Non- western european christian lives dont matter.

It's so funny how Lebanon had this reputation of being some fabulous Jewel as if it were done solely by Lebanese. Even that is bullsh*t. Investments made by other Arabs is why it had any success. The Arab Bank (founded by a Palestinian) had invested in Lebanon in the 1940s.

And the ones who hate Hezbollah, tend to be the shallowest, most vapid ppl who just want to party and cosplay as French. It's actually pretty pathetic. They basically just want to be Dubai. There's no pride in their actual culture when they so desperately simp for these foreign terrorists who've been a pox on the region since 1948.

Who do you think the people who comprise Hezbollah are that they don't care about Lebanon? You're so stupid.

Hezbollah is similar to the IRA. They're a Lebanese political movement that has a military wing. You can't just get rid of them you moron. You need to get rid of Israeli war crimes and genocide first because that's why they formed.

Interesting. Funny that the *actual* Lebanese government (you know, the legitimate one) wants Hezbollah wiped out, as do the vast majority of Lebanese citizens. Of course, that's very difficult to implement because Hezbollah is a terrorist group and all they bring to Lebanon is, you guessed it, terror. No one wants to go up against thugs, for obvious reasons. But there is no doubt Lebanon wants them gone. Do continue defending terrorists though.

“We announce a ban on Hezbollah’s military activities and restrict its role to the political sphere,” Salam said in a news conference on Monday after the meeting.

“We declare our rejection of any military or security operations launched from Lebanese territory outside the framework of legitimate institutions.”

He added that all of Hezbollah’s military or security activities are “illegal” and said security forces would “prevent any attacks originating from Lebanese territory” against Israel or other states.

“We declare our commitment to the cessation of hostilities and the resumption of negotiations,” he said.

The statement was the strongest stance against Hezbollah to date and even gained the support of Parliament Speaker, and longtime staunch Hezbollah ally, Nabih Berri, who leads the Amal Movement.

For analysts, the Lebanese government’s decision was a clear indication of how far the group has fallen since 2024.

“The government’s decision to officially ban all Hezbollah activities represents a landmark shift in the position of the government toward disarming Hezbollah,” Dania Arayssi, a senior analyst at New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy, told Al Jazeera. “This is a further reaffirmation that Hezbollah has lost a lot, if not all, its political power and influence in the Lebanese government.”
