My brother always wants to stay with us over my parents, and it was bad enough with their two kids, nevermind the third they (say they) accidentally added.

Dented walls, scuffs on walls, hole in drywall, hurting my dog, the mom 'cleaning up' their kids' disaster by just shoving toys, games, puzzles into random containers instead of their own, constant screaming and roughing around, crying and whining, food everywhere, my brother losing his cool in an extreme way -- after this I refused to do it anymore. They never bring anything even just snacks, nor help with anything and expect three full meals a day... they have invited other people to my home for meals without checking in first... the list goes on.

Never again. But it's not just a 3 kid problem, though maybe it's the type of people that often have three or more kids? They just have a total lack of parenting responsibility. I feel for their kids a lot.

It's too many people. Specifically too many kids. It seems, on paper, like it's just one more kid than a family with 2 kids. And yet.... it feels like 4-5 more kids? It is just utter chaos. We never make it through a visit without something being broken or drawn on or just randomly destroyed. I'll have spent time with the kids individually, and they will have been well behaved, and then all together they are like small demons.

I would rather host three or four families with 1-2 kids than a single family with 3 or more.

And to parents of 3 or more kids, I truly don't know how you survive. How have your houses not burned down by now? I salute you, but I don't envy you. And I look forward to meeting up at the park!

Judge much? We have three, maybe they were chaotic at times but we wouldn’t want to hang with people for whom that was a problem. Not our type.

I think it makes sense just from a probability perspective. The more kids someone has the more likely that at least one of them will be disruptive (in comparison to the average kid) just due to their innate behavioral tendencies.
