How many yellow cards had Hoco amassed in the short run of the game to send MDU off the rails?

Interesting way to teach girls to play the game to get an advantage. Good thing they’re young because college recruiters do not want to see that. Hoco as a club is not so familiar with college recruiters, I’m guessing.

Isn’t Hoco good enough skills and talent wise to not have to leverage fouls or yellow card play to win or win handily? I don’t get it.

Ngll sent email this week saying verbal abuse of refs will result in forfeit of games

The NGLL official (not ref) ended the game, per the email last week, they would end games if behavior of parents or coaches crossed the line. It was 233pm and 2 pm start so prob 20 min left in game?

Or did MDU forfeit and discontinue play because they believed the refs were not protecting their players in the game from an onslaught of fouls? Can someone give more details as to what happened? I can see a final score of 6-2. That’s clearly low. They made it through a half?

The 2035s had a dumb “top 8” but no surprise to see the best two teams (MDU and Copp) coast into the finals. Both have a bunch of athletic, older girls which really gives an edge at this age. I think those teams may have also played together for a while. Add to that, great stick skills and coaching from MDU, and they should be superior and the champ.

Maybe more teams should stand up for their players like MDU. Every team has dealt with their foolishness yet no one advocates for their players until today. Kudos MDU for doing the right thing.

It didn’t looked like Hoco ‘34 crushed anyone today, when I thought the puffery was playing a ‘34 team would be 34-0 and they need to play ‘32s. They did still win.

What were the MDU parents freaking out about? The rough play?

Posting in other threads on this board that have nothing to do with this age group randomly about how great 34 hoco is.

Imagine teaching little girls that cheating is the ONLY way to win.

I have older players and no dogs in the fight whatsoever, but was a bystander at ‘34 HoCo vs MDU.

For those of you who hadn’t heard, the referee and the NGLL (commissioner?) ended the game way, way early. Apparently these teams have bad blood? The MDU coach yelled “how is that not a yellow card?” And they were forced to forfeit. It was bananas.

I’ve seen the posts in unrelated threads on here about hoco 34. Parents going into boys threads and talking about their fourth graders. It’s super weird.

Seeing a bit today, they play some of the dirtiest ball I’ve ever seen, and they’re insanely proud of it.

While the “us versus the world” mentality might be fun for a while, just know you’re embarrassing yourselves.
