Yeah but they don't. They just stay here and whine. Meanwhile, people from all over the planet want to move to the USA by any means possible and millions of them do.

I want to be like my aunt, who is 80, works remotely from all over the world. 6 months in Asia, 6 months US/Canada/Europe.

My girlfriend left for Ecuador. She sold her house here. She had to put up $50,000 to the Ecuador government to live there. She bought an oceanfront condo in Manta. For some reason it is not liveable and she can't move in. She said that purchase was her biggest mistake.

She lives in a rental (but owns the ocean front condo that is non liveable.)

She flies to the US every 3 months and brings back 4-5 suitcases of things you can't get in Ecuador. Amazon does not exist in Manta.

Her original plan was to fly to Europe and vacation. Instead she flies to the US to buy things.

She and her husband hang out with Americans. They don't seem to have any local friends. She is surprised at how religious the local population is.

She can't afford to buy wine in restaurants. It is too expensive.

She seems happy. She and her husband considered Costa Rica but thought it was overrun with Americans. They thought Portugal would be too expensive.

I wish they would leave. Society would be better off with women from other countries.

I've lived and worked in Europe and Asia as a woman. That's a hard pass, no thanks. Lots of sexist, BS barriers in other countries. I'll run my 7 figure business here and visit other places.

My father has left this country 3 years ago but he operates with deep pockets. He bases out of Canada, a condo in Spain and a house in Argentina. He travels in between one or two month stays in his condos and when he wants to come in to the US to check in or hang with Canadian family who loves Disney, he goes to his place in FL. I loved visiting Europe and Mexico and can picture myself living in a place like Portugal or Mexico but I have a child in a US University. I am trying to vie for her to study abroad and the do grad school abroad as in her field she will get further ahead oversees. The like smart women in her field abroad. I would consider living overseas for better food, education, health care, peace and more leisure living as they don’t work as hard. Money is not an option as we would have plenty.

It is the equivalent of saying that 65% of people are willing to pay higher taxes for universal healthcare. Germany and France require mandatory private health insurance for better coverage. The private insurers often have a co-pay but it is capped.

I understand the necessity for universal health care, but would still have a private policy to faster, better care.

At least there would be a minimum everybody has though. It isn’t like private insurance here gets you seen sooner, especially with a complex issue.
