Many years traffic fatalities outnumber gunfire fatalities, but not in 2025. Thankfully line of duty deaths were at historic lows last year.

So far in 2026 there have been 3 LEOs killed by gunfire, 3 killed by vehicles and 1 killed by a train.

Ask your children interested in law enforcement if they wanted to be out in the snow storm helping people all night that slid their cars into a ditch.

I would support their decision. We bring our children up to make the decisions IN THEIR LIFE and we must remember that it is THEIR LIFE, not ours.
