The lack of empathy on this thread is bizarre. Some of you are more worried about Bobby Kennedy having to weather two paragraphs of criticism than you are about the children who will be left without a mother, and the rest of you are trying to do this noble thing where you "just don't understand the amount of sympathy for the Kennedy family."
People don't feel sorry for her because she's a Kennedy. People feel sorry for her, as they would any woman, who was cut down in the prime of her life leaving behind two small children.

Thankfully her prognosis is good - even though it IS aggressive they caught it early enough and the doctors are confident she can beat it. She runs marathons and is incredibly health-literate; she even said she's used to tracking biometrics with a wearable so she feels comfortable having those conversations with the doctors.
And now Tatiana Schlossberg, who is 35 and mentioned swimming a mile the day before giving birth. I mean, swimming a mile on a regular day is proof enough someone is health-conscious and doing it nine months pregnant is just bad ass.
Why are these young women getting so sick?
Running marathons doesn't prevent cancer.
I think there’s actually some new evidence running marathons and ultramarathons is associated with higher risk of some cancers due to the stress that puts on your body.
A lot of ultramarathoners are recovered addicts. I wouldn’t assume that research is anywhere near conclusive.

I don't think this is really a fair comparison since JFK only had 3 grandchildren and RFK had 34.
Also, isn't it sort of early to say all 3 turned out well? Jack seems to be at a point where things could easily go south.
Disagree with this assessment of Jack. He has said repeatedly he acts like a troll bc he's trying to make the point that right wing trolls get press. When you actually watch him interview Jen Psaki or Mike Pence or talk about politics on his webshow, he comes across like a normal 30something guy. Well spoken and intelligent. I saw him on a GOP podcast a few weeks ago and he was calm and thoughtful.
The point he is making is that nepo kids get press

"For my whole life, I have tried to be good, to be a good student and a good sister and a good daughter, and to protect my mother and never make her upset or angry," she added.
"Now I have added a new tragedy to her life, to our family’s life, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it," said the mom of two."
This part didn’t land well with me. It sounds extremely dysfunctional to spend your “whole life” trying to be the good girl, protecting your mom, and not make her angry. I get that to some extent, we’re all like that and it’s human nature, but for it to be such a big part of her, this was sad to me. To grow up in fear of “adding to the tragedy” is such a heavy burden.
This poor family.
Mmm, it’s pretty typical for the oldest daughter.
She's not the oldest dd. Her sister Rose is.
I'm so sick of this "Omg oldest daughters have it so tough" shtick and I am the oldest of two girls.
She isn't like this bc she's an oldest dd or a middle dd. She's like this bc she was raised in a family that had an intensely public tragedy every few years.

Agree. Imagine growing up that way. What a tragedy.
What about her dad? Do his opinions matter?
