All of this is slowly occurring already. It is concerning that a significant chunk of our country simply cannot afford food if the government shuts its lights off. Eventually, republicans will trigger people to lose their healthcare. The economy sucks. At a minimum, people ask going to have to start asking politicians to do something about inequality.

We are going to get a populist democratic candidate. Socialism is coming. Trump is a National Socialist, who has government stakes in handful of American companies… a growing number too. The Democrats will be running the democratic equivalent. I’m looking forward to a new style of Democrat.

I completely agree. The time for "corporate" Democrats and moderate Democrats is over. The GOP has been crazy pants for the last 8+ years and any decent GOP politicians have gone to spend more time with family.
I hope the few decent politicians remaining out there listen to the American people. We need the few good ones to lead an exodus of decent politicians to form new political parties for conservatives and liberals to coalesce behind. Any politician attempting to run for office in 2026 with an R or D next to their name is in for a very rude awakening.

I was all for the Ds holding the line but enough is enough.
DC/MD/VA needs to order employers to stop withholding Federal taxes, and use local funds to keep people afloat until this crisis (MAGA) is over.
