No. You need to choose. Be an adult.
You don’t listen to people who would otherwise vote straight ticket Dem. Voting straight ticket is not in our best interest. You don’t want us in the party. That much is clear. If you don’t value us, you won’t get all our votes.
I don’t understand this reply. Not choosing is stupid. Choose the least bad option. Just choose. Whether you vote straight blue or not is up to you, but leaving it blank or writing in someone who cannot win isn’t really making a choice - it’s leaving it up to others to decide and that’s wasting your precious right to choose.
The point is, it's not up to you whether someone wants to vote (or not vote) their conscience. It's up to them. It's also not up to them to control the outcome. It's up to them to stand for what they feel is right.
That is literally the point of voting.

As trump rapes the US Treasury for his own personal gain you will vote for Miyares because your brains are fried and you never have an original thought.
MAGA cult of stupidity voting against your own interests every single time.
Voting a straight blue ticket is certainly an original thought.
Voting a straight ticket is short-term emotional thinking. Only voting for candidates that meet your standards is how you keep this from happening over and over again. You don't owe them a vote, they have to earn it.

Either you’re ok with MAGA or you’re not.

This is why republicans always win - bc they realize the decision is either democrat or republican. The ballot is not a place to signal how virtuous you are. Either go with the dem candidate or you’re voting MAGA. That’s the choice, put on your big boy pants.

Jay Jones wasn’t wrong. And the things he said pale in comparison to what Americans decided they were ok with in the previous election.
I read this post earlier and, after thinking about it, it really spoke to me. I am upset at the state of our nation today and fearful about what the future will bring if Republicans are unchecked. I don’t know what it will take for things to get better. While I would never act on it, I admit wondering whether if Trump were to die that would solve the problem. Is that really any different than what Jay Jones texted?
He said he wanted to see the mom holding the dead kid’s bodies to teach her a lesson and that he would piss on their graves so yes, I would that that is really different from a high level “would things be better if Trump didn’t exist” thought.
Geez, either you're really dense or you've bought into the Republican propaganda. It was exaggeration to make a point. He thought using an extreme scenario would help convey his point better. Of course it was tasteless but please stop pretending as though it was something he intended to act on.
When you attack someone’s intelligence vs their argument, it means you’ve lost the logical side of the debate.
It doesn’t matter if he was going to act on it or not - that isn’t the point. Do you know what the point is?

Jones’s texts shed light on his true character. This was not a game. This was not a joke. The level of detail in the texts strongly suggests he put some thought into what he wrote.
Jones has no business serving as the Commonwealth’s top prosecutor. I don’t agree with everything Miyares has done as AG, but I’m voting for him because he’s demonstrated a level or principled behavior beyond what Jones has displayed during this campaign.
And, look — if Miyares wins he’s going to work with Spanberger. They’re not going to be buddy-buddy but both of them have aspirations for higher office and screwing Virginia isn’t going to look on anyone’s resume. This apocalyptic “we’re doomed unless we vote all blue” is unmitigated BS.
