What could go wrong?

Washingtonians are tired of endless crime.
Surviving families of murder victims are speaking out with gratitude for protection from thugs allowed to carry illegal guns.
They are speaking out with gratitude that federalized police force is loitering around M St. Georgetown and other safe places? They aren’t actually going anywhere that there is high crime or drive by shootings. It’s political theater.
Maybe, just maybe, the Guard in Georgetown frees up MPD to go elsewhere in the city?

Ridiculous. Such a huge waste of money. Breathtaking!
You obviously never lost a loved one to street violence. Go away.
How many of these troops are patrolling the actual crime ridden areas of DC? Not many. Seems like they are there to intimidate the wealthier and tourist areas.
Today the admin said arrests were higher in wards 7 and and 8 as a way of saying that criticism is unfounded. But only idiots think their claim contradicts what DC residents are noticing:
They still only get the same daily number as MPD gets (and those numbers are normally higher in wards 7 and 8).
They still are predominantly placing guards in NW and avoiding most areas where crime actually occurs. I am sure they go to other wards when a call comes in, hence arrest, but active guarding of hot spots? Nope!
If they aren’t arresting more people and everything is normal, what’s the problem? Surely you aren’t scared of some kids from the sticks.
