My list: 1. My pending divorce lawsuit with no hope for a signed MSA and I don't have the bandwidth to deal with all the document requests and mentally don't think it is possible to have a clean break due to kids and finances. Thinking of withdrawing the lawsuit, but not sure if that is wise; 2. One kid is senior and is stressing up about applying to college, with decisions whether to REA/ED lottery schools when GPA/SAT is less than ideal; 3. Another kid got into a fight at school and hurt himself; 4. Workload in office is piling up with malicious colleagues free riding on my efforts and I don't know whether to "downgrade" my output in order not to let the free rider succeeds or I should just let go and focus on doing my best; 5. My health with on and off high blood pressure and heavy period while on HRT when I should be menopause already. 6. I look tired and old with eye bags, sagging cheeks, wrinkle and grey hair!!

I find it hard to be happy at this stage of my life. Constantly looking for small moments to cheer me up. Blue sky, white cloud, making food that kids like ...

My teen's health. He's having a complicated surgery for cyst removal in a month and I'm just really nervous about it. But obviously being confident on the outside for his well-being.

I posted a thread about a year ago about a friend who I found out was an alcoholic. She moved to where i live from across the country with her family.

A year later this is still a huge stressor for me. She got a liver transplant but was in the ICU for two months after, and now is in a rehab facility for PT/OT. She still hasn't come totally clean about the drinking. She can't work, has kids, wants to leave her husband, all kinds of things.

This on top of trying to deal with aging parents, busy teens, a crazy job - it's a lot. But I told my DH over the weekend I feel a year ago she left a giant sack of s**t on my front step and he added "then she lit it on fire." I have tried to be a good friend and feel so bad for her but at this point after a year of providing support I am at the end of my rope on this.

Chatting with the police “for advice” is a TERRIBLE suggestion


Police will ask what you want them to do about it. Use a computer at a public library to do some research on the laws in your state.

Consult with an attorney or at the very least, your county’s domestic violence center. Make sure you write down the threat details in a locked app. Include how the threat made you feel and if any witnesses. This will likely not be the last time you feel unsafe. Protect yourself.

Feeling lost and disconnected from the world when my two DDs are with the other parent. Ex was mentally, verbally and financially abusive and now uses our kids to get to me.

Found out ex dropped them off at rec center type place for over 6 hours yesterday. They had lunch and dinner there. Meanwhile, ex was getting drunk.

I can’t afford a PI, and kids will swear that parent was there the whole time.
