Is this the same person whose estimates under Biden had to be consistently downgraded after the fact? Honest mistakes go in both directions. A pattern of mistakes to benefit a political party shows a lack of honesty.

Good riddance.

This is beyond ridiculous. What he is too stupid to realize is that he can’t gaslight us into thinking things are going great in this country because of the fact that we are actually living in it! This isn’t a reality show where he can set the stage to look a certain way, get his people to go along with it, everyone believes it, and his ratings soar. We are all seeing the evidence of things getting worse. We all know people who have had secure, high-level jobs for decades and are now out of work or in fear of losing their jobs. Not just government workers, but across almost every field. We all know young adults who can’t find a job after college. If they can, they aren’t making enough to pay rent. Anyone who can’t see how quickly this country is tanking simply is not paying attention, and at their own peril.

Former BLS commissioner William Beach (a Trump appointee) on Trump firing his successor over weak jobs numbers: “I don't think there's any grounds at all for this firing. And it really hurts the statistical system. It undermines credibility…. This is damaging.”

It’s basic facts.

With illegal immigrants being rightfully kicked out of the Country, and with every anchor baby about to lose their forged citizenship, there are tons of open jobs, so the idea that the labor market is contracting goes against economic theory out there.

This is ignoring the fact that the wonderful tariffs are seeing companies rushing to re-shore jobs in the US, which also clearly tracks against this “statistician’s” fake estimates.

Thank god we have a president willing to call out these frauds, rather then just sit back and watch as the democrats and their fascist goons try to manufacture the great depression 2.0 just because Trump and the republicans are freeing their illegal immigrant slaves from their shackles.

I see you’re too stupid to even understand your boyfriend’s promises. Trump said that birthright citizenship would end going forward not that “every anchor baby would lose their forged citizenship “

And way to move the goal posts. Trump campaigned on bringing back high quality, paying jobs not for Americans to get the pleasure of doing the jobs that illegal immigrants currently do. I don’t think that people on Appalachia want to pick crops and clean hotel rooms. They wanted the high paid manufacturing jobs he promised. Despite the usual lies the number of factory jobs have actually decreased under Trump so the tariffs aren’t bringing anything back.

That’s phase 1. Immediately stopping the bleeding.

Phase II is where the real work will come. A full audit of citizenship and the immediate detention and expulsion of every illegal immigrant falsely granted citizenship under the misconstrued interpretation of so-called “birthright citizenship.”

And honey, we have maintained a 25% unemployment rate since 2008 (https://www.shadowstats.com/alternate_data/unemployment-charts).

Just because you, personally see yourself above doing your own dishes or grow a garden on your own, let alone put in the hard work necessary to work in a dish out or out in the fields does not mean that there are not millions of unemployed citizens currently celebrating their ability to return to the workforce.

You are too deep in the hole to debate., I hope your family has success deprogramming you if and when this is all over.

They’re seriously using shadowstats to support their ridiculous 25% unemployment rate claim?

That’s 1 in 4 jobless. That’s the same rate as the peak of the Great Depression, in 1933. A sustained rate like that lasting 17 years would have caused widespread starvation and civil unrest.

I don’t think there’s any hope of deprogramming this level of delusion.

What other accurate measure of unemployment would you suggest that accurately measures the long-term disassociated unemployed then?

And have you not been watching the last 17 years, are you so stuck in your upper class, liberal bubble you are unable to comprehend what is going on around.

Have you just ignored the fentanyl crisis? The millions of proud, working class Americans dying deaths of despair off of a monstrous drug forced into the country by the same monsters stealing their jobs, and supported by liberals decriminalization and defund the police.

Are you ignoring the widespread civil uprests 2020? The mass starvation and civil unrest you claim doesn’t exist describes the daily life of most working class Americans.

As it relates to the fentanyl crisis, most of that is manufactured in china and distributed by the aryan nation.
The civil unrest from 2020 came from cops killing black people in cold blood without repercussion.
What is the GOP solution for unrest and mass starvation? They are cutting social safety net programs and unleashing a gestapo-like force on to the country. How do either of those address the issues?

Yes, the Aryan Nation may distribute some fentanyl, but that is ignores the fact that the vast majority of fentanyl is shipped directly from China to Mexican where the Drug Terrorist Organizations traffic it over the border utilizing illegal immigrants.

Where it is sold to our working class who are dying deaths of despair due to widespread unemployment that has not improved since 2008 (except for a brief period between 2016-2019 where Trump’s economic policy brought widespread re-employment).

And no, the 2020 riots used the unfortunate overdose of a career criminal as an excuse to riot over their lack of economic stability, and the oppressive lockdowns that were continuing to disassociate our working class.

The answers are very clear. First, we need to reinvest in proven technologies and re-shore manufacturing through tariffs. We also need to forcibly remove illegal immigrants and make sure the millions of illegal aliens that mistakenly were considered citizens due to the clearly incorrect interpretations of the 14th amendment are forcefully removed.

Then, you need to reform the welfare system to increase labor participation. What we’re meant as short-term aid for those temporarily unemployed have ballooned to permanent programs. Cap all welfare programs to a maximum term of one month at a time, and one year over the course of an individual’s life. Get people working. If you lose your job, get a few weeks of food stamps, Medicaid, etc until you get another job. But do not allow them to just sit on their ass doing nothing.

Manufacturing isn't coming back, genius. Costs will never be low enough here to justify it. This doesn't even get into just how much diversity there is in manufactured goods. You think that's ALL coming here? In any event, your disingenuous take on the 14th Amendment marks you as a moron in the first place so you're clearly happy living in your alternate reality.

Which companies exactly. I watch the money channels all the time. These are vague promises for future projects. Reminds me of FocCon. It never materialized.

Companies are paralyzed because of the tariff drama. They can’t plan anything with constant change.

I just placed a bunch of big orders before the end-of-the-month tariffs hit. After that I plan to just hunker down for a while until Trump gets his shit together, or try to make it til the midterms in the hopes that there's enough backlash against Trump's policies for it to make a difference. Apart from that I have zero optimism for much of anything after, until his term is over.

There seems to be new rules every day. Hasn’t the tariffs off Canada, our largest trading partner, been announced at 7 or 8 different tariff rates? If you are a small business that depends on Canadian trade that make it impossible.

You won't reshore through tariffs b/c there is too much uncertainty. You are quite the naive one. Clean energy was actually reshoring. The industry opened 46 manufacturing plants last year and was slated to open 160 this year to finally bring back technology and expertise that we ceded to China. We created the technology then stopped investing and it went to China. Now, because of the big beautiful bill, new plants are not opening and the others are laying people off. I thought Trump wanted manufacturing jobs? He wants you to make minimum wage making widgets instead of getting benefits and making a living wage.

This is so dumb it’s honestly scary. A lot of these things provide for people who can’t work. Food stamps for example benefit children and the disabled. A huge share of Medicaid is for dual enrollees (I.e. Medicare/medicaid recipients who are poor elderly people). They’re not going to suddenly be able to work all you are changing is hoops they have to jump through to show that they can’t. TANF (which I assume you are calling welfare) already lasts only three years. George Floyd’s cause of death/autopsy result is easy to google and that’s just generally not how an overdoses works. To reshore manufacturing you need to actually build up industries and build factories. Imposing tariffs without doing that won’t do anything. Also, I’m from a working class family, the things that made manufacturing jobs good were unions. There’s nothing inherently special about working at a factory without that. And Trump is currently suing to destroy collective bargaining for the federal government and has said himself that when he needed construction workers and had a choice he selected nonunion labor (which by the way you can guess which subset is disproportionately made up
Of illegal immigrants).
