On the boys side it’s not a bad idea as they are competing with 20 year olds coming from Europe. That extra year might level the playfield as far as recruiting goes.
Girls side won’t matter because 99% of girls would not allow themselves to be held back.

ECNL, like all leagues, is balancing maximizing revenue by convincing customers of a bright future (college ball). If the customers feel that there is cheating or the perception of cheating, they will raise Cain, as seen by the interest in said topic. Recruiters will be looking at a team of players that are graduating in X but theres 1 or 2 that are graduating in Y? From a recruiters perspective this is annoying because they're not graduating the year that youre expecting. But also how do you evaluate a player that might look really good but they're playjng against teams where most players are a year younger.
