"tribe" is actually the preferred terminology for a lot of Jews. Because it's a hard to pin-down term (since it's apparently not a religion, or a race, or an ethnicity, and hard to define).

Exactly. Using tribe kinda implies Jews as a whole. Instead of using tribe, PP could have said we don't want our country controlled by the Israel lobby.
