Well, here's one building block of proof towards rebutting your hypothesis: research suggests that Republicans are likelier to vote for Democrats than Democrats are to vote for Republican candidates. This tends to suggest that Democrats are somewhat more tribalistic than Republicans. Tribalism are selfishness are conceptual cousins.
What this actually indicates is that Democratic policies are more broadly inclusive and appealing to a wider demographic (including some Republicans who don’t like MAGA), while Republicans increasingly only bother to appeal to the hard right, making Republicans the party of insular tribalism and selfishness. Nice try though.

Amen. Romans 3:23 for the win.
Trump and MAGA have completely rejected most of the core teachings of Christ in the Gospels:
Feeding the Hungry:
- "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in" (Matthew 25:35)
- "Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied" (Luke 6:20-21)
Care for the Sick:
- "Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness" (Matthew 9:35)
- "When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick" (Matthew 14:14)
Welcoming Strangers/Refugees:
- "I was a stranger and you invited me in" (Matthew 25:35)
- "Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it" (Hebrews 13:2)
Care for the Vulnerable:
- "Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them" (Matthew 19:13)
- "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress" (James 1:27)
The Great Commandment:
- "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39)
- "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another" (John 13:34)
The Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) also exemplifies caring for those in need, regardless of social boundaries.
These teachings formed the foundation of Christian social ethics and continue to inspire charitable work today yet Trump and MAGA policies and actions completely reject and undermine these principles.

However, there is one party that uses Christianity as a weapon. Guess which one? Oh yeah, Republicans.

Actually, it shows that some Republicans see what's happening to their own party. It's very unlikely that a Democrat, who has empathy and believes in the constitution would ever vote republican in the current environment. However, it is very plausible for a republican, who has empathy and believes in the constitution to vote democrat in this current environment.

Trump is going to stage a UFC fight on WH grounds.
Is his plan to just change the presidency into a reality show that never gets cancelled?
