I went to an expensive private school and elite college and it's striking how good affluent women are in marrying successful men. I do think there is a relationship and has always been one, but of course that he was very wealthy and she was beautiful played key roles.

Must admit it's intriguing that Melania does what she wants to do and gets flak for it, meanwhile Michelle Obama recently came out and said she's going to do what she wants to do too and isn't going to turn up at political events just to make other people happy.

She also was pretty and very smart. They also share a much beloved daughter and grandchildren. She doesn't trust them but she has made it work and they both seem healthy and happy with their current lives.

Michelle is a private citizen now, and has been for close to a decade. Melania is the First Lady. Big difference.

Michelle and Barack are rarely together since leaving the WH.

They have always emotionally lived separately. Their relationship was a political union from the start, just like now Huma and Alex.

Michelle is a private citizen now, and has been for close to a decade. Melania is the First Lady. Big difference.

I think they love the power and status more than their partners. Being a president’s wife puts you on way more of a pedestal around the world than just being wealthy.

Melania could leave but logistically, everything would become more difficult for her and her family, less secure.

When Michelle didn't go to those events there was speculation that they were headed toward divorce. I think she's saying just because I choose me doesn't mean we're getting divorced.
