I think it was more of short roster to begin with and then injuries throughout than coaching. They had one sub against Arlington this weekend, thats never going to cut it at u16 with the number of short and long term injuries that are part of the game now. They will bounce back next year with age change. 09's will still be bad but look for 10's and 11's to be much better because of player movement.

If FVU 2010 girls are smart they will start reaching out to ARL, BSC, and VDA coaches now. This is their recruiting year for playoffs. They can’t play for those teams now but if they are switching to them next year they can go to playoffs with those teams this July.

Club has a trapped audience as ECNL wants a team in fairfax. Club doesn’t really care this year as next year they will have new talent through SY/BY changes and any other possible ecnl defections (looks at arlington). I feel for the girls that stayed but they aren’t alone in struggling at that club.

But hey they still have their star national team player until vda snatches her. Not a complete wash.

its bullying shitty coaches who cant ID or develop kids.. but they over roster and take your money

lol - you all act like these are professional coaches being paid millions! They are amateur coaches coaching youth soccer. In this area they barely make a salary that can really support their families (versus all of us parents who make six figures to afford our kids’ soccer dreams). I’m a parent and I think we put a little too much on these coaches who we wouldn’t trust with an excel spreadsheet in our professional day-to-day. Cut them some slack.

There is no right guess. ECNL is fine with the girls side, probably. Girls will compete. If ECNL decides to punish the boys, girl are hosed- see NVA. The bottom line is the FVU girls are not in charge of their own destinies. Sad, because the girls have been carrying the load. The boys have not, but somehow a winless group will decide that MLSN2 is better, even though the girls are vastly more competitive.
