The last five years of our new neighbors here said they use to live in DC. They all said because of the crime.

Only if the people moving out have more money and therefore choices than the people moving in.


Well that's how it is in the city of Alexandria. Free busses, housing, basic income, free internet, free food, free cell phone. People with money are leaving. 3-4% of the cities population has fled already.

It’s driven by economics and housing unaffordability, not race.

A lot of people who move to DC are always looking for a reason or way to move back to their hometown. I'd have to believe a lot of feds are saying f it and using this time to do just that.
