And no, I do not believe an applicant with a stellar GPA, SAT, and other credentials gets deferred from BC unless it was BC protecting yield because they knew the applicant would go to a better school. Back to OP’s post. Your kid will be great wherever she lands. Some places that come to mind for the middle 50% of a “typical” private school (not one filled with famous, super wealthy powerful people) are Allegheny, Hobart and William Smith, Elon, Lawrence, and Furman.

I posted the SAT range of enrolled students, that’s an actual statistic. When did I say no BC students have hooks?

Bottom half students get into BC fairly reasonably. Do you categorically deny this? Are you will to gander whether bottom half students go to MIT except in the most extreme, bizarre scenarios?

I posted about Wake and I really don’t ever. Just what I saw at our private this year.
